  1. Mr. Brunswick,

Thanks for providing the extensive research into the censorship activities of Paloaltoonline.com and it’s reporters. It may be of interest to you to note the terms of use when posting or blogging at their web-site. However, bottom-line,whether or not you agree you must abide by all of the twelve terms of use or your blog posting will be removed for any and or all of the sited reasons as you have noted in your research above or as they say:

“You acknowledge that although we do not have any obligation to review, monitor or screen the content that is posted on PaloAltoOnline.com, and that we do not own such content, we are the sole judge of whether the content you post meets these Terms of Use, and that we may edit, remove or lock content you post on PaloAltoOnline.com at our sole discretion for any reason, even if not specifically addressed in this Terms of
    Use.”

Nevertheless, we have no idea of the true numbers of innocuous or benign community postings deleted, removed or edited at the whim of the publisher simply to hide the true feelings or reflections and sentiments of the individuals posting. But the numbers you’ve uncovered are in fact startling.

  2. Did the Golins ever get their daughter back? You should contact him and write an update. Speaking of news blackouts…

    1. Anon,

That’s a good question. I have not heard from the Golins for quite some time so I don’t know where the case stands. I will reach out to them for an up-date. In the meantime, Jeff Golin can be reached at jeffgolin@yahoo.com.
